Look at you being all nosey!

So, I've always been fascinated in matters of gender - as it seems something that is massively overlooked in our society, and something that is labelled as 'fine' and considered no longer an issue, where it couldn't be more opposite! Toxic and damaging forms/expectations of masculinity and femininity couldn't be rooted any deeper in the very fibres of our nature, society and behaviours. 

I'm currently living and working in the city of Bath with my boyfriend, having dropped out of Lancaster University in February 2018. I dropped out because of the isolation of university life, especially seeing as I was approx six hours away from anyone I truly cared about. To be honest, I also found there was a huge amount of bullshit that went along with how uni had been represented to me before going there, in sixth form and from other people - but perhaps that's a story for another time. 

A few things I gained from this period in my life being skills from studying Gender and Women's Studies alongside Creative Writing and English Language. Despite slightly resenting having to study three subjects, I couldn't help but notice I was quite good at writing academically about issues of gender, and also quite enjoyed it - and so the blog was born!
